On December 10, 2025, at the 20th anniversary autumn auction of Beijing Poly Auction House, the scene featured the "Procession of the Emperor" painting located on the eastern wall of Shentu Temple in Fenyang. The figures of attendants, city god, and other deities depicted in the painting were mostly painted with the central stroke technique, presenting a bold and vigorous, yet profound and solid appearance. The firing process in the Chai kiln ensured a stable and ancient-looking color, while the glaze surface was smooth and lustrous like fat.

A refined Chinese porcelain tea cup crafted in classic blue-and-white ceramic, decorated with traditional delicate Chinese patterns inspired by Ming-dynasty motifs. CUP

The smaller items are teacups, specifically referred to as tasting cups or Pinming Bei, which are crafted for the refined enjoyment of tea in small, frequent infusions. Their petite, rounded design is intended to be held delicately with the fingertips, encouraging the drinker to focus on the subtle nuances of the tea’s flavor and fragrance. These cups often feature intricate floral patterns or medallions, symbolizing elegance and prosperity in a compact, artistic form.

Plates

the plates in a tea set—often called saucers or coasters—act as a stable foundation for the cups, serving both a practical and symbolic purpose. Functionally, they protect the table from heat and catch any stray drips of tea, while aesthetically, they frame the cup to make the presentation feel complete and formal. In traditional Chinese teaware, these plates represent the "Earth," grounding the set and providing a matching canvas for the blue and white porcelain patterns that tie the entire collection together.

Bowls

The larger vessels, known as tea bowls or Chawan, are wider, handleless containers designed for a more substantial serving of tea or for whisking powdered varieties. Unlike the functional tea vessels, this vase is a decorative statement piece featuring a landscape motif (Shanshui), which depicts misty mountains and serene nature scenes to evoke a sense of tranquility. Each piece is hand-thrown or hand-molded by our master artisans using traditional techniques. The clay is carefully prepared, shaped, decorated with underglaze, and fired at temperatures up to 1300°C to achieve the distinctive finish that Azure Porcelain is known for.
Are your products dishwasher and microwave safe?

Our dinnerware collection is designed for everyday use and is dishwasher safe. However, we recommend hand washing for decorative pieces and items with gold accents. None of our products with metallic decorations should be used in the microwave.
